Sorare announced that the famous French football team of Paris-Saint Germain has landed on its digital fantasy football platform on blockchain.
Previously, another important French team, the Olympique Marseille, had already joined the project, so much so that there are now six teams of the French Ligue 1 to have formed a partnership with Sorare.
In total there are now 98 officially licensed clubs on this platform:
- three of the Spanish La Liga,
- four of the Italian A Series,
- two of the German Bundesliga,
- one of the English Premier League.
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is by far one of the most famous European football teams, so much so that it was a finalist in the Champions League 2020. Thanks to the new partnership Sorare will create PSG’s digital collectibles, such as the stickers of the most famous players, for example Neymar and Mbappé, and the team’s „legendary players“, such as David Beckham in 2013.

In addition the Global Fantasy Soccer platform is finally launched in the United States, opening the way for new partnerships with US football clubs of the Major League Soccer Players Association.
The United States already ranks second on Sorare for total number of users and total time spent on the platform per user, thanks to a growth of users of 70% month per month. Therefore they are already an interesting market for this type of offer, although there are no US football teams included in the list yet. Suffice it to say that according to the Fantasy Sports and Gaming Association, over 59.7 million people practice fantasy sports in the USA.
Today the platform has over 40,000 users worldwide, with an average of 1 hour and 15 minutes per day spent on the platform by US users.
Sorare CEO, Nicolas Julia, said:
„We are delighted to officially launch Sorare today in the US, bringing Sorare one step closer to establishing revolutionary partnerships with the country’s leading teams and clubs. Expanding into the US at the start of our growth is a strategic step for Sorare in terms of both market share acquisition and brand recognition with users, football teams and investors.
With the inclusion of PSG to the platform, football fans in the US and elsewhere will be able to use their knowledge of football to play as managers and compete for the prizes up for grabs in the game. PSG fans will be able to join the economy of their passions in a way that was not possible before the existence of Sorare’s global fantasy football.
PSG’s head of Merchandising and Brand Diversification, Fabien Allegre, he added:
„The Paris Saint-Germain is a new generation club. We are guided by our values of competitiveness. At the forefront of innovation, we are always looking ahead, looking to the future to offer our fans new experiences. To constantly improve them, and to provide better coverage for our brand, Sorare will enable us to reach new, young communities, especially in Asia and America. We are proud of this new partnership“.
