Dillon explores some of nature’s greatest wonders at Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons

Thirteen-year-old Dillon of Greensburg, PA, loves the outdoors. He enjoys fishing, hiking, and hunting so it was no surprise when he wished to go to one of America's greatest national parks, Yellowstone. In June, Dillon and his family flew all the way to Jackson Hole, WY, and then drove to Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons.

The trip was full of adventure from the very beginning. Dillon and his family stayed at several different hotels in the area, including the Old Faithful Inn, the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel, and the Lake Yellowstone Hotel, where their lodging was in a frontier cabin. Each of the places had many beautiful sights to see and places to explore. Dillon thought the geysers were incredible, especially the famous Old Faithful. He also had fun exploring the area along the Firehole River and hiking in Grand Teton National Park. The scenery there was like nothing he had ever seen before. Before the trip was over, Dillon and his family made sure that they went on a scenic Snake River float trip and went fly fishing at Lake Yellowstone.

Dillon and his family could not stop taking pictures of all the majestic mountains, stunning geysers and beautiful scenery. This trip was everything that Dillon had hoped for, and he loved every minute of it. He was able to do all the outdoor activities that he loves. Dillon will always remember the time he spent with his family on this amazing trip.
