When a shiny black limousine pulled up outside Ross Park Mall, spectators gathered to see who could be inside. A local celebrity? A special dignitary? Little did they know it was nine-year-old Sha’onia, arriving in style for her shopping spree wish.
Sha’onia could barely contain her excitement at the thought of racing around the mall to all her favorite stores for all her most favorite things. Her list of ‘must-haves’ included anything and everything pink, baby dolls, special treats for her brothers and sisters and above all, a video camera. And Sha’onia had no trouble marking them off, one by one.
Finally, when the carts could hold no more, and the last dollar had been spent, it was time for lunch. Exhausted from all of the excitement and ready to eat, Sha’onia and her family headed back to the limo, now bulging with packages. Not really wanting to get out, Sha’onia had the driver pull through the McDonald’s drive-thru, so the group could enjoy their lunch in the comfort of the limousine.
On the way home, Sha’onia gazed happily at all of her purchases. By the smile stretched across her face, it was easy to see that this wish was just what the doctor ordered.
