Donating
The Make-A-Wish Foundation has a number of fund raising programs available to donors. If you or your company, organization or school want to become involved in one or more of these programs, the Make-A-Wish Foundation can supply tips and ideas to develop our fund raising strategies. We can provide materials, speakers and publicity.
Please contact our Development Team at 1-800-676-WISH (9474) or email greaterpa@wishworld.org and we will be happy to assist you.
In these challenging times, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has decided not to publish a 2008 Annual Report. To view a copy of our 2008 Donors , please click here. Please call 1-800-676-WISH (9474) for a hard copy of the donor list or the most recent audited financial statement .
Tributes and Memorials
A donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation can be the perfect way to commemorate birthdays or anniversaries, celebrate births or remember a recently deceased friend or relative. Instead of sending a promotional or holiday gift to each of your customers, send a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in the name of that special person. A minimum of $15 per gift is suggested. We will send a letter to your clients telling them of your generosity. Please call the Foundation at 1-800-676-WISH (9474) for more information. Discover Card, Visa and MasterCard accepted.
Monthly Giving Club
The Make-A-Wish Foundation has created a monthly Automatic Donation Program that allows you to donate directly from your bank account or credit card. More information is available by contacting the Make-A-Wish Foundation at 1-800-676-WISH (9474).
United Way, Combined Federal Campaign/SECA
While the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia is not a United Way agency, we do participate in its Contributor's Choice program in many of the counties we serve. For the United Way of Allegheny County, the Foundation's Contributor's Choice code is #913. For more information on contributing through United Way in your county, please call 1-800-676-WISH (9474).
Federal and state government employees may also contribute to the Foundation. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is listed under Children 1st America's Charities for national and local members participating in workplace campaigns.
Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is a workplace-giving campaign that includes all federal employees: civilian employees, military personnel and postal workers. The CFC campaign code is #11375.
Pennsylvania state employees can contribute through the State Employee Combined Appeal (SECA) by using the code designated for the Make-A-Wish Foundation #5000-0049.
Special Events
Every year, more than 200 organizations and individuals hold events to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. These range from golf tournaments to fashion shows, backyard carnivals to haunted houses as well as car washes and festivals. Planning and coordinating a fund raising event can be an exciting and challenging experience. Because state law mandates that all charitable special events be registered with the charity, please call 1-800-676-WISH (9474) for more information.

Kids for Wish Kids®
KIDS FOR WISH KIDS® is for students who, in their own special way, help kids who have life-threatening medical conditions. Students of all ages select, organize, manage and complete fundraisers within their school, clubs, grade or group. Teachers have as many or as few responsibilities as they and the students agree on. Being part of this program, students experience the joy of giving, develop school spirit, learn lots of skills, and work toward a common goal of making a wish come true.
We have wonderful speakers who would be happy to come to your school or meeting and talk about wishes, show wish videos, and talk about how you can help. For a few ideas, please see our Kids For Wish Kids Activity Idea List and Activity Form. For a complete information packet or to schedule a speaker, please call us at 800-676-9474 or email email@wishworld.org.
Be sure to also look at our Walk for Wishes information to see how your students can get Make-A-Wish prizes by collecting donations and walking.

Wishmakers at Work®
Wishmakers At Work is a fundraising program that allows employees of a company or business to join together and design an event or workplace campaign appropriate to their unique work environment. Companies large and small have become Wishmakers or Wishpartners by conducting dress down days, bake sales, fitness challenges or simply by setting up a payroll deduction plan. Many corporations will match their employees’ fundraisers dollar for dollar, doubling the contribution to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Wishmakers At Work also offers a terrific opportunity for team building and can often unite employees toward a common goal.
